‘HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE ALPHA COURSE?’

The Alpha Course reaches out to all people to help them learn about, renew or further develop their personal relationship with God.   It is a ten-week course offered by many different Christian churches.   The course encourages discussion on the big questions – life and death and their meaning focusing Christianity within life, as we know it today.   It is a novel approach to Christian education, has changed lives, and most who attend a course appear happier for their experience.   The course is chatty and non-threatening, easy going and relaxed.   There is NO pressure to join in the discussions on the evening … but you will find it hard not to have an input.

Over this year a small group of St. Mary’s parishioners, both men and women, took part in one of the courses offered at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Third Avenue.  Some parishioners also took part in a later course offered at St. Thomas More parish at the Mount.   We all feel greatly blessed in that the courses have helped deepen our understanding and relationship with God.   We wanted to share this with you so you could consider taking part in a course offered in 2012.

If you felt interested, but would like to know more, or have company on an initial visit, or the whole course, one of the parishioners would be happy to go along with you.
