ST. MARY IMMACULATE – LIBRARY UPDATE

Greetings from your new librarian.  I must begin by making apology for the delay in restoring the library for your use, but am pleased to advise that it is definitely a ‘work in progress’.  The new-look library will hopefully be completed by Christmas.
As for the books themselves, they are systematically being recorded onto computer, using the same categories as before.  The titles under each category will not now be in alphabetical order, but numerical.  A printed list of books will sit beside each category, so that users can skim down the titles then easily find their chosen book on its shelf.  The old wooden trolley beneath the shelves is also having a makeover, and will be used for both cards and returns.  For the time being, returns can be left on one of the remaining bookcases.  In the future, new titles will be added, and some no longer in use removed and held in safe keeping.
